Every year in mid-December, the Artisans créateurs du Val-de-Bièvre association sets up its Christmas craft market on Rue Guichard and Place Eustache-Deschamps, as part of Cachan's festive holiday program. Around thirty artisans from Cachan and neighboring towns showcase jewelry, crochet work, leather goods, candles, and blown glass items over a weekend highlighted by the arrival of Santa Claus and a gourmet break.

Les dates affichées (12-13 décembre 2026) sont une projection non confirmée, calée sur le week-end de l'édition 2025 ; elles seront corrigées dès l'annonce officielle, généralement fin novembre. À titre indicatif, l'édition 2025 s'est tenue les 13 et 14 décembre 2025, rue Guichard et place Eustache-Deschamps, avec une trentaine d'artisans, l'arrivée du Père Noël le samedi à 17h30 et un concert de la chorale New Jem le dimanche de 17h à 17h30.

Location: Rue Guichard and Place Eustache-Deschamps, Cachan (94230), in the city center.
Access: RER B, Arcueil–Cachan station, then a few minutes' walk; RATP bus lines 162, 197, and 395.
Admission: Free and open to the public.
A craft market driven by local creators
The market is organized by the Artisans créateurs du Val-de-Bièvre (ACVB), with support from the City of Cachan and the Métropole du Grand Paris. It is part of the "Cachan aux couleurs des fêtes" program, which brings together various municipal events throughout December, including neighborhood parties, concerts, storytelling sessions, and a lantern parade with sky lanterns at Parc Raspail.
During the market weekend, the city brings the venue to life with the arrival of Santa Claus on Saturday in the late afternoon and, in 2025, a concert by the New Jem choir on Sunday. Mulled wine, hot chocolate, and crêpes are available to enjoy while strolling between the stalls.
