The meeting point for craft beer lovers in Seine-et-Marne
The Chelles Craft Beer Festival is an annual event organized by the Rotary Club of Chelles Marne et Chantereine. Held at the Centre culturel place des Martyrs de Châteaubriant, the festival brings together around fifteen French craft brewers each spring for tastings, meetings with producers, musical entertainment, and food stalls. Since its creation in 2019, the festival has established itself as a recognized brewing event in eastern Île-de-France, attracting hop and malt enthusiasts in a friendly and supportive atmosphere — the profits fund the charitable actions of the Rotary Club.
Born in 2019 on the initiative of the Rotary Club of Chelles Marne et Chantereine, the Chelles Craft Beer Festival has quickly established itself as an unmissable event for craft beer lovers in Île-de-France. The event combines gustatory pleasure and solidarity, as the profits are donated to the charitable actions of the Rotary Club (support for local associations, educational projects, aid for people in difficulty).
Each edition brings together around fifteen craft brewers from all over France. Visitors can discover and taste a wide range of beers: IPA, stout, white, amber, triple, sour, bière de garde and many other styles. Brewers are present at their stands to explain their manufacturing methods, their choices of hops and malts, and share their passion for craft brewing. The Chelles-Lindau twinning committee regularly presents German brews, as a nod to the twinning between the two cities.
Beyond the tastings, the festival offers a festive program with live concerts (pop rock from recent decades), a games area animated by the Guilde de l'Ours, and a raffle. Food stalls complement the gastronomic offer with dishes suitable for accompanying beer. The glass engraver French Bubble Glass is also present, and the Sietrem syndicate raises visitors' awareness of waste sorting and recycling.
The Chelles Craft Beer Festival stands out for its charitable dimension. Organized by the Rotary Club, the profits from the event are entirely donated to the solidarity actions carried out by the club: support for local associations, aid for people in difficulty, educational and humanitarian projects. Every glass tasted thus contributes to a solidarity cause.
Second city of Seine-et-Marne with over 55,000 inhabitants, Chelles is located only 20 km east of Paris, easily accessible by RER E or Transilien. The festival is held at the Centre culturel, place des Martyrs de Châteaubriant, right in the city center — a location that allows visitors to combine the brewing discovery with a visit to this commune with a rich historical heritage, from the Merovingian abbey to the Alfred-Bonno museum.
The 7th edition of the Chelles Craft Beer Festival will be held on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Cultural Center, Place des Martyrs de Châteaubriant. A solidarity event whose profits fund the actions of the Rotary Club de Chelles Marne et Chantereine.
