The Christmas Village in the heart of heritage

Every year, from early December until Christmas, the historic center of Bourges is adorned with its most beautiful festive attire. At the foot of the Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Christmas Village is set up on Place Étienne-Dolet and Place Simone Veil. In this exceptional architectural setting, around thirty chalets create a magical and friendly atmosphere that invites strolling and discovery.

Christmas crafts and gastronomy

The Christmas market chalets offer a wide variety of artisanal products and gift ideas: Christmas decorations, handmade jewelry, wooden toys, leather goods, and local regional products. Gastronomy plays an important role with stands offering mulled wine, hot chocolate, crepes, waffles, and churros. These treats can be enjoyed on-site or taken away, allowing you to warm up while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Various entertainment events mark the days: street artist parades, shows for children, and traditional rides including a carousel and a small train ride.
