The Christmas Village of Saint-Lô

Every December, the Place du Général de Gaulle in Saint-Lô transforms into a true Christmas Village. For three weeks, wooden chalets host artisans and merchants who offer their creations and seasonal specialties: waffles, mulled wine, crepes, cheeses, charcuterie, spices, leather goods, scarves, toys, figurines, comic books, and jewelry.

Activities for the whole family

The Christmas Village of Saint-Lô is not limited to sales stands. A program of various activities punctuates the three weeks of festivities. A free carousel and a free Christmas train run daily (except Mondays and December 25th), offering children moments of joy. Santa Claus's house welcomes the little ones for a magical moment from December 14th to 24th.

Shows and concerts

The cultural program of the Christmas Village includes concerts, street shows, artistic parades, and musical entertainment. The inauguration sets the tone with an opening concert, and throughout the weeks, artists and musicians perform on the square for the visitors' delight.

The city center illuminations

In parallel with the Christmas Village, the streets of the Saint-Lô city center are adorned with their most beautiful illuminations. Light garlands, decorated Christmas trees, and projections create a magical atmosphere that invites strolling and shopping in the Saint-Lô boutiques.

Organized by the city of Saint-Lô, the Christmas Village is a highlight of local life that brings together residents and visitors in a spirit of conviviality and sharing. Entry is free, allowing everyone to enjoy this enchanted interlude in the heart of the Manche prefecture.
