About Le Goût du Large
Every year, Port-en-Bessin-Huppain honors the scallop and the bounty of Normandy's fishing industry right on its harbor quays. Established in 2004, Le Goût du Large brings together fishermen, local chefs, and the community for a weekend dedicated to the sea, featuring tastings, cooking workshops, and demonstrations of traditional fishing techniques. The "Musique sous les Embruns" music festival adds to the atmosphere with concerts held under a marquee on Place Seurat.

Saturday, November 7th, 2026, 9 am – 6 pm
- Tastings of scallops and fresh seafood from Normandy · port quays
- Cooking workshops featuring scallops with professional chefs
- Artisanal fishing demonstrations and meet-the-fishermen sessions
- Sea shanty concerts
- Classic sailing ships docked, tours of trawlers and the shipyard
- Net repair and nautical knot-tying demonstrations
- Guided tours of the fishing port, hosted by the Centre culturel Léopold Senghor

Special seafood menus will be available at port restaurants throughout the weekend. The organizer has not released a specific schedule for individual activities, nor a breakdown of events by day.
