Access
The racecourse is located in Gouffern-en-Auge, a few kilometers from Argentan, in the heart of equestrian Normandy.
- By car: From Argentan, follow the direction Gouffern-en-Auge via the D924 (5 min). From Caen, A88 exit Argentan then D924 (50 min). From Alençon, N12 then D924 (35 min). From Paris, A13 then A88 exit Argentan (approx. 2h30). Free and spacious parking is available on-site, accommodating several hundred vehicles.
- By train: Argentan SNCF station, served by the Paris-Granville and Caen-Le Mans lines. The racecourse is about 5 km from the station. Taxi or carpooling to reach the site on race days.

Hippodrome du Pays d'Argentan, 61160 Gouffern-en-Auge. The racecourse has covered grandstands with panoramic views of the track, a bar-restaurant with a terrace, and large green spaces for families.
Race calendar
The racecourse organizes 22 racing days per year, including 11 PMU meetings televised on Equidia. Meetings are spread from January to December, with a denser schedule in spring and autumn.
Schedules
Meetings generally start at 1:00 PM with the opening of the ticket offices. The first race is run around 1:15 PM - 1:30 PM. Each meeting includes 8 to 10 races, with the last race taking place in the late afternoon (around 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM). Consult the detailed calendar on the official website.
Prices
Completely free admission for all visitors. Free access to the grandstands, the lawn, and the bar-restaurant.
Horse racing betting
PMU betting points are available on-site: counters staffed by cashiers and self-service betting terminals. Minimum bet: 1.50 euros. Bets can be placed in cash or by credit card. Programs with runners and tips are available at the entrance.
Catering
A bar-restaurant is located on-site with a terrace offering a direct view of the track. Hot and cold food (daily specials, sandwiches, crepes, drinks) available throughout the meetings. Picnic area accessible on the lawns.
