Racing at the 'Versailles of the Horse'

The Courses Hippiques du Haras du Pin take place at the Bergerie racecourse, nestled in the heart of the Haras national du Pin estate, one of the most beautiful stud farms in the world, founded in 1715 by Louis XIV. This exceptional setting, with its majestic tree-lined avenues of ancient oaks and its historic buildings, offers a unique backdrop for high-quality horse racing.

Varied and Spectacular Races

The Bergerie racecourse offers several types of races that delight horse racing enthusiasts:

  • Flat races: horses compete over various distances on a grass track in a green setting
  • Hurdle races: jockeys clear natural hurdles at high speed
  • Steeplechase: more technical and demanding obstacle courses
  • Cross-country: spectacular events over natural terrain with various obstacles (banks, ditches, fences)

Several Days Throughout the Year

The racing calendar at Le Pin includes four to five racing days per year, spread between spring and autumn. Each meeting features about ten races throughout the day, attracting the best horses and most talented jockeys on the circuit.

A Family Event

The racing days at Haras du Pin are true family celebrations. Beyond the excitement of the races, organizers offer a program of entertainment: children's games, picnic areas, food and drink stands, and the opportunity to discover the magnificent Haras national estate with its stables, riding arenas, and gardens.

An Exceptional Racecourse

The Bergerie racecourse is a licensed racecourse with a track length of 1,400 meters, complemented by a cross-country track. Its location within the Haras national du Pin makes it one of the most picturesque racecourses in France, appreciated by both professionals in the horse racing world and occasional visitors.
