2025 season of Organ Concerts at the Abbey Church of Mouzon. Three recitals scheduled for Sundays, July 13, July 27, and August 10 at 6 PM, with Willy Ippolito, Pierre Méa, and Gilles De l'Assomption at the console of the grand Moucherel organ. 2025 Season: Three Exceptional Recitals
The 2025 season of Organ Concerts at the Abbey Church of Mouzon featured three organ recitals at the console of the grand Moucherel organ:
- Sunday, July 13 at 6 PM: Willy Ippolito, organist from Charleville-Mézières, in a program dedicated to Balbastre, Du Mage, Bach, Guilain, and Frescobaldi.
- Sunday, July 27 at 6 PM: Pierre Méa, titular organist of Reims Cathedral, performing works by Marchand, Bach, and Grigny.
- Sunday, August 10 at 6 PM: Gilles De l'Assomption, organist from Louhans, in a program mixing Byrd, Couperin, Rameau, and Pachelbel.
These three concerts offered a rich panorama of organ literature, from the French Baroque to the great European masters, in the incomparable acoustics of the 13th-century Gothic abbey church.
