The electronic music festival west of Paris
Electrochic is the electronic music festival west of Paris, spread across several towns in the Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine departments, including Chaville. Founded in 2011, it offers concerts, performances, and workshops every March, blending sophisticated and experimental electronic music in unusual venues: swimming pools, media libraries, concert halls, and cultural spaces of the Versailles Grand Parc urban community.
Electrochic is a unique event in the Parisian cultural landscape. Born in 2011 on the initiative of L'Onde (Theatre and Art Centre of Vélizy-Villacoublay), the City of Versailles, and Versailles Grand Parc, the festival distinguishes itself by its desire to create a dialogue between sophisticated electronic music and everyday places: cinemas, municipal swimming pools, media libraries, schoolyards, and theatres. The town of Chaville (92370) is one of the recurring host towns for the festival.
For its 10th anniversary, Electrochic will take over no less than ten towns from March 17 to 28, 2026: Bailly, Bois d'Arcy, Chaville, Fontenay-le-Fleury, Jouy-en-Josas, Saint-Cyr-l'École, Vélizy-Villacoublay, Versailles, and Viroflay. The program celebrates a decade of sonic exploration with a major lineup mixing big names from the international electronic scene and emerging young talents.
Among the highlights of the 2026 edition is a concert in a municipal swimming pool with Cabaret Contemporain, a Parisian collective specializing in live electronic performance. The festival also features a film-concert around "Vampires et Compagnie," an electronic exploration by the Ensemble de saxophones du Conservatoire de Versailles Grand Parc, and a competition dedicated to young artists.
In Chaville, concerts take place at the MJC de la Vallée. For the 10th edition, the town hosts an electro evening on Friday, March 20, 2026, with artists from the current electronic scene. The Chaville program, like in all partner towns, is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, with reduced prices for concert card holders and pricing in line with local cultural policy.
Electrochic is based on a strong conviction: electronic music is not just for clubs and festive nights. It can resonate in daylight, in heritage or popular venues, for audiences from all walks of life. The festival thus offers computer-assisted music workshops open to the general public, introductions to sound creation, and artist meet-and-greets. This educational and participatory dimension has been at the heart of Electrochic's identity since its inception.
The invited artists embody the diversity and creativity of the contemporary electronic scene: Arnaud Rebotini, a major figure in French electro, Township Rebellion, an internationally renowned techno duo, and many artists to discover through the annual competition. In 2025, the festival notably hosted Arno Cost and Elisa Do Brasil.
