Mountain & Music Festival
Mountain village and lumberjack competition in Palaiseau
2026
About Mountain & Music Festival
For one weekend at the end of September, the Festival Montagne & Musique transforms Palaiseau, in the Essonne region, into a charming mountain village. Since 1998, the Cocktail Scandinave association has hosted this event in partnership with the Gil's Axeman Club, the Les Saisies ski resort, and the Arts & Traditions Populaires "Les Frontières" association, with logistical support from the city of Palaiseau.
The international lumberjack competition brings together competitors from several countries, all set against a backdrop of traditional crafts, sled dogs, and open-air concerts. Admission is free, and all proceeds are donated to two children's charities: Caméléon and Étoile des Neiges.
