Artistic exhibition combining painting, sculpture, and visual arts in the Pays de Montbéliard
The Hérimoncourt Painting and Sculpture Exhibition is an annual artistic event organized in this commune of the Pays de Montbéliard. The event brings together painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramists, and other visual artists for a collective exhibition at the Cultural Center. With its two parts — "Contemporary Prestiges" in the spring and the "National Meeting of Women Painters and Sculptors" in the autumn — this exhibition offers an exceptional showcase for contemporary artistic creation in the Doubs, in a town that proudly displays its love for artists.
The Hérimoncourt Painting and Sculpture Exhibition is a highlight of the cultural life of the north of the Doubs. Organized at the commune's Cultural Center, this event brings together around thirty artists each year to exhibit their creations in various disciplines: painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and other visual arts.
The exhibition is divided into two complementary parts. In the spring, the "Contemporary Prestiges" exhibition highlights male and female artists through bold contemporary works. In the autumn, the "National Meeting of Women Painters and Sculptors" offers a specific platform for female creativity, in the tradition of French artistic exhibitions.
Each edition hosts about twenty painters, several sculptors, photographers, ceramists, and artists practicing other visual disciplines. The works presented cover a wide aesthetic spectrum, from figurative to abstract, including the most innovative contemporary art. The exhibition thus offers the public the opportunity to discover varied artistic universes and to meet the creators directly.
The commune of Hérimoncourt maintains a strong connection with the visual arts. A large fresco titled "Hérimoncourt loves artists", created by the painter Pierret in the town hall square, testifies to this commitment. The Musée Roger Comte, dedicated to this painter from the Franche-Comté region, complements the local cultural offerings and can be visited by appointment.
The exhibition aims to be a place for meeting and exchange between artists and art lovers. Admission is generally free, allowing as many people as possible to discover the exhibited works. Festive vernissages and moments of conviviality punctuate each edition, reinforcing the warm character of this artistic event in the Doubs.
The Hérimoncourt Painting and Sculpture Exhibition returns in May 2026 for a new edition at the Cultural Center, featuring a collective exhibition of painters, sculptors, photographers, and ceramists from the Pays de Montbéliard and beyond.
