Access
Pougues-les-Eaux is located 10 km north of Nevers, on the former N7.
- By car: Via the D907 (former N7) from Nevers or Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire.
- By train: Nevers station, then a 15-minute drive.

The Route Nationale 7, nicknamed "the holiday route" or "the blue route," is a mythical 996 km road connecting Notre-Dame de Paris to Menton. From the 1930s to the 1970s, it was the main artery used by millions of French people to reach the south and the Côte d'Azur. Pougues-les-Eaux, a small spa town crossed by the N7, was a well-known stop for holidaymakers.
