Summer cultural season by the Lac du Bourdon in Puisaye
Born in 2019 from the initiative of the members of Asso Mammouth, La Guinguette en Scène is much more than just a summer entertainment venue. Located at lieu-dit la Calanque, on the shores of Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau, this associative cultural and artistic guinguette embodies an ambitious project: to offer the people of Puisaye-Forterre and its visitors a professional and eclectic program, in an exceptional natural setting in the heart of the Yonne.
Under its large tent, La Guinguette en Scène deploys a stage area each season hosting concerts, live performances, cinema screenings, and conferences. The association also adds a bar and a small organic and/or local food service, true to its values of conviviality, proximity to local producers, and respect for the environment. The entire venue operates from Wednesday to Sunday, from noon to midnight, for three summer months, between June and the end of August.
La Guinguette en Scène is above all a meeting place for local cultural life. Its program covers a particularly wide spectrum: contemporary music in all its forms, circus and street arts, shows for young audiences, improvisation theater, open stages, festive and participatory events. This artistic richness makes the Guinguette a space that is both popular and demanding, accessible to all audiences, from families to fans of niche music.
Among the regular highlights of the season are:
La Guinguette en Scène benefits from one of the most beautiful sites in the Yonne. Lac du Bourdon, an artificial body of water of about 200 hectares located on the outskirts of Saint-Fargeau, is surrounded by forests and meadows offering a soothing and rejuvenating atmosphere. Its shores also host the Camping de la Calanque, allowing festival-goers to extend their stay by the water.
This lakeside and forest setting gives the Guinguette a unique dimension: that of a space for culture and nature, where music dialogues with the sound of the wind in the trees and the lapping of the water. In the evening, the lake becomes a mirror for the stage lights, transforming each concert into a memorable sensory experience.
Asso Mammouth is much more than just an event organizer. Based in Puisaye, it has established itself as a structuring cultural player for this rural territory in northwestern Yonne. An official partner of the Puisaye-Forterre Tourist Office, the association manages both La Guinguette en Scène and the Mammouth Fest, a major contemporary music festival that attracts several thousand festival-goers from all over France each year.
The project is distinguished by its strong values: cultural accessibility, eco-responsibility, short supply chains for catering, participatory governance. La Guinguette en Scène is also a place for seasonal employment and volunteering, bringing together dozens of people each summer around a common project. By anchoring its programming in a preserved natural setting, two hours from Paris, the association contributes to the tourist and cultural attractiveness of Puisaye-Forterre.

On Wednesday evenings in July and August, the Guinguette screens a series of committed documentaries at 9 pm: Home (July 1), Human (July 8), Legacy (July 15), Vivant (July 22), Nature (July 29), followed by a documentary cycle on August 5, 12 and 19. An open-air cinema program that extends the association's ecological commitment.
The 2026 season is structured around three festivals organized by Asso Mammouth: Festi'kids, a young audience festival in early June with shows, entertainment, and workshops for families; a big summer weekend on August 14, 15 and 16; and the grand finale, Mammouth Fest #7 on August 28, 29 and 30, a contemporary music festival (reggae, dub, electro, techno, hip-hop, chanson) which is the culmination of the season with its dedicated ticketing on weezevent.
Throughout the season, the community bar and small organic and local catering welcome festival-goers facing the lake. Asso Mammouth prioritizes short supply chains, local producers, and reusable cups. The participatory pricing system (€8 normal price, €5 mini price, €12 and + to support) for most concerts guarantees cultural accessibility for all audiences in Puisaye-Forterre and beyond.
The Guinguette closes its big top at the end of September with three events: a surprise evening on September 12, a Reggae Dub evening on September 19, and the closing evening on September 26, before storing the equipment until the 2027 season.
