About Guinguette en Scène

Created in 2019 by Asso Mammouth, La Guinguette en Scène is a cultural and restaurant venue located by the Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau. Under its large tent, it hosts a professional program every summer mixing concerts, shows, theater, cinema, and workshops, from June to the end of August, in a friendly and popular atmosphere in the heart of Burgundy's Puisaye region.

La Guinguette en Scène, a cultural hub in Puisaye

Born in 2019 from the initiative of the members of Asso Mammouth, La Guinguette en Scène is much more than just a summer entertainment venue. Located at lieu-dit la Calanque, on the shores of Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau, this associative cultural and artistic guinguette embodies an ambitious project: to offer the people of Puisaye-Forterre and its visitors a professional and eclectic program, in an exceptional natural setting in the heart of the Yonne.

Under its large tent, La Guinguette en Scène deploys a stage area each season hosting concerts, live performances, cinema screenings, and conferences. The association also adds a bar and a small organic and/or local food service, true to its values of conviviality, proximity to local producers, and respect for the environment. The entire venue operates from Wednesday to Sunday, from noon to midnight, for three summer months, between June and the end of August.

A Rich and Diverse Season

La Guinguette en Scène is above all a meeting place for local cultural life. Its program covers a particularly wide spectrum: contemporary music in all its forms, circus and street arts, shows for young audiences, improvisation theater, open stages, festive and participatory events. This artistic richness makes the Guinguette a space that is both popular and demanding, accessible to all audiences, from families to fans of niche music.

Among the regular highlights of the season are:

  • Festi'kids (early June), a festival dedicated to young audiences offering shows, activities, and workshops for families
  • Chap à l'Est (mid-July), a contemporary music festival with a festive and colorful identity, featuring a program mixing reggae, ska, alternative rock, and world music over two evenings
  • Weekly concerts throughout the summer, with local, regional, and national artists
  • Themed evenings: Fête de la Musique on June 21st, documentary screenings, open stages, etc.
  • Mammouth Fest (mid-August), a major contemporary music festival organized by the same association — reggae, dub, electro, hip-hop — which marks the highlight of the season

An Exceptional Natural Setting: Lac du Bourdon

La Guinguette en Scène benefits from one of the most beautiful sites in the Yonne. Lac du Bourdon, an artificial body of water of about 200 hectares located on the outskirts of Saint-Fargeau, is surrounded by forests and meadows offering a soothing and rejuvenating atmosphere. Its shores also host the Camping de la Calanque, allowing festival-goers to extend their stay by the water.

This lakeside and forest setting gives the Guinguette a unique dimension: that of a space for culture and nature, where music dialogues with the sound of the wind in the trees and the lapping of the water. In the evening, the lake becomes a mirror for the stage lights, transforming each concert into a memorable sensory experience.

An Associative Project Rooted in the Territory

Asso Mammouth is much more than just an event organizer. Based in Puisaye, it has established itself as a structuring cultural player for this rural territory in northwestern Yonne. An official partner of the Puisaye-Forterre Tourist Office, the association manages both La Guinguette en Scène and the Mammouth Fest, a major contemporary music festival that attracts several thousand festival-goers from all over France each year.

The project is distinguished by its strong values: cultural accessibility, eco-responsibility, short supply chains for catering, participatory governance. La Guinguette en Scène is also a place for seasonal employment and volunteering, bringing together dozens of people each summer around a common project. By anchoring its programming in a preserved natural setting, two hours from Paris, the association contributes to the tourist and cultural attractiveness of Puisaye-Forterre.

Guinguette en Scène — edition 2026

The 2026 season of La Guinguette en Scène at Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau, from April to the end of September. Asso Mammouth presents a rich program of concerts (rock, blues, reggae, jazz, French chanson, world music), live shows, documentary film screenings, workshops (yoga, plant-based painting, photography, improv theater) and the three flagship events of the season: Festi'kids in June for young audiences and Mammouth Fest #7 on August 28, 29 and 30 to close the summer with music.

The 2026 season of La Guinguette en Scène

For its seventh season, La Guinguette en Scène continues its cultural adventure on the shores of Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau. Asso Mammouth's big top opens on April 4, 2026, and remains active until September 26, from Wednesday to Sunday, noon to midnight. For six months, the lakeside site will pulsate with a dense program combining contemporary music, live shows, documentary cinema, workshops, and three major festival highlights.

An eclectic program throughout the weeks

From April to September, the Guinguette hosts a series of events: rock with Todo Esta Aqui (April 4), reggae-dub with Raskan Beets (April 11), blues with Blues2Men (April 25) then Monkey Tonk Blues Band (July 24), French chanson with La Mine de Léo (July 31) and Terrain Vague (August 21), surf music with The Gremmie (August 8), world music with Eusebia (Malagasy music, July 25) and Matiou la Batteuse & Les Récolteurs (cajun/zydeco, August 1), fusion and soul/funk with Les Butterflys (July 5) and Soul Air (July 11), jazz with Deux Vents dans les Cordes (July 12), independent rock with Dragon Rapide (July 17), rock covers with Spam89 (August 7) and Caoua (July 10), and the flagship karaoke of Les Enchanteurs hosted by Bertrand (May 24, July 4, August 1). Thursday mornings in July are dedicated to yoga workshops (10 am-11 am, July 9, 16, 23 and 30) and July 26 offers a plant-based painting workshop (2:30 pm-4:30 pm, €30 adult / €20 child).

Documentary cinema on Wednesdays

On Wednesday evenings in July and August, the Guinguette screens a series of committed documentaries at 9 pm: Home (July 1), Human (July 8), Legacy (July 15), Vivant (July 22), Nature (July 29), followed by a documentary cycle on August 5, 12 and 19. An open-air cinema program that extends the association's ecological commitment.

The three festivals of the season

The 2026 season is structured around three festivals organized by Asso Mammouth: Festi'kids, a young audience festival in early June with shows, entertainment, and workshops for families; a big summer weekend on August 14, 15 and 16; and the grand finale, Mammouth Fest #7 on August 28, 29 and 30, a contemporary music festival (reggae, dub, electro, techno, hip-hop, chanson) which is the culmination of the season with its dedicated ticketing on weezevent.

Community bar, organic and local catering

Throughout the season, the community bar and small organic and local catering welcome festival-goers facing the lake. Asso Mammouth prioritizes short supply chains, local producers, and reusable cups. The participatory pricing system (€8 normal price, €5 mini price, €12 and + to support) for most concerts guarantees cultural accessibility for all audiences in Puisaye-Forterre and beyond.

Season closing in September

The Guinguette closes its big top at the end of September with three events: a surprise evening on September 12, a Reggae Dub evening on September 19, and the closing evening on September 26, before storing the equipment until the 2027 season.
