Artisanal Christmas Market in the heart of Clamecy
Every December, the town of Clamecy, a medieval gem in Haut-Nivernais, hosts its Christmas Market in a remarkable architectural setting. The cobbled streets and half-timbered houses of this former timber-rafting town are adorned with luminous decorations to welcome over 100 exhibitors.
The market brings together carefully selected artisans and producers:
The Clamecy Christmas Market is more than just shopping. A program of enchanting entertainment punctuates the day:
Clamecy is a city of art and history located at the confluence of the Beuvron and Yonne rivers, in northern Nièvre. A former capital of timber rafting to Paris, it retains an exceptional architectural heritage with its Saint-Martin collegiate church, medieval houses, and bridges spanning the Yonne. The Christmas Market naturally fits into this historic setting.
The Clamecy Christmas Market has become a must-attend event that brings together locals from Haut-Nivernais and visitors in a warm and festive atmosphere. It contributes to the winter animation of this charming small town and showcases the artisanal know-how of the region.
Clamecy is located in northern Nièvre, 45 km south of Auxerre and 60 km north of Nevers.
