An Alsatian Tradition Since 1996

The Chocolate and Delicacies Fair was born in 1996 on the initiative of the Corporation of Pastry Chefs-Chocolatiers-Ice Cream Makers of the Haut-Rhin. For nearly three decades, this event has alternated annually between the Mulhouse Exhibition Centre and the Colmar Exhibition Centre, offering sweet treat enthusiasts an unmissable autumn gathering. The fair embodies the tradition of excellence in Alsatian culinary arts and the Haut-Rhin's passion for table arts and artisanal gastronomy.

The Art of Chocolate in All Its Forms

The heart of the fair consists of stands from over 30 artisans: chocolatiers, pastry chefs, confectioners, and ice cream makers from the Haut-Rhin. Each exhibitor presents their creations — grand cru bars, chocolate bonbons, fine pastries, macarons, artisanal ice creams — and offers tastings that allow visitors to discover the richness of cocoa terroirs and the unique know-how of each artisan. Complementary products — coffees, teas, jams, honeys, and spices — complete this refined tasting journey.

Demonstrations and Artistic Pieces

One of the fair's highlights is the exhibition of artistic chocolate pieces created by apprentices from Alsace's vocational training centers and high schools, as well as by journeymen and master artisans. These monumental sculptures, true technical and artistic feats, demonstrate the vitality of transmitting chocolate-making skills. Live demonstrations of tempering, molding, and decorating allow the public to observe the meticulous work of professionals and understand the secrets of artisanal chocolate making.

Workshops, Activities, and Discoveries

The Chocolate and Delicacies Fair doesn't just delight the taste buds: it educates and entertains. Children's workshops introduce the youngest to chocolate decorating and pastry making in a fun and delicious atmosphere. Conferences address the origins of cocoa, the challenges of fair trade, and contemporary chocolate-making trends. The fair also offers musical entertainment and dining areas where visitors can enjoy crepes, waffles, and other treats on-site.

An Event at the Heart of the Exhibition Centre

The Mulhouse Exhibition Centre, located south of the city and easily accessible by tram, offers a spacious and comfortable setting to welcome thousands of fair visitors. The organization by the Corporation of Pastry Chefs-Chocolatiers-Ice Cream Makers of the Haut-Rhin guarantees a high level of quality, with carefully selected exhibitors and an entertainment program designed to satisfy both connoisseurs and families seeking sweet pleasures.
