Festiv' Concerts — edition 2026

The Festiv' series returns to Place Saint-Pol from June 5th to August 28th, 2026, featuring thirteen free open-air concerts, every Friday at 6:30 PM. The season kicks off with the duo Flûtes et Champagne and concludes with Hydra's Project, a tribute to the band Toto, with performances by Martha Fields, Celtic Sailors, Les Soul Seeders, Ki & Co, and Une Touche d'Optimisme along the way.

Thirteen Fridays of free concerts at Place Saint-Pol

From June 5th to August 28th, 2026, the City of Nogent-le-Rotrou will set up its stage on Place Saint-Pol every Friday evening for the Festiv' series. The concept remains the same: one free concert per week at 6:30 PM, right in the heart of the historic center of the Perche capital. Thirteen events will take place over nearly three months, from the first Friday of June to the last Friday of August.

A program that travels the world every week

The 2026 edition embraces eclecticism. The season starts on June 5th with Flûtes et Champagne, a duo formed by Marc Loy (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Olivier Ombredane (flute), whose repertoire blends 70s rock, jazz swing, film scores, and folk. The following week, Celtic Sailors brings traditional Irish music, original compositions, and Irish dance to the stage.

June continues with Texan artist Martha Fields, a singer-songwriter from a lineage of Kentucky and West Virginia musicians, who traverses a century of country, folk, bluegrass, and rock'n'roll. Then, Jugâad closes the month with their afrobeat grooves, funky guitar licks, and Ethiopian and jazz influences—the original saxophone-guitar duo appears here as a quartet, bolstered by bass and drums.

July takes a tour of musical America: the Louisiana sounds of Cajun Expérience on the 3rd, the soul of Les Soul Seeders—the backing band for the Lovemedo Records label, led by the voice of Lucie Haddad—on the 10th, and the bluegrass and old-time music of the Dear John trio on the 17th. On the 24th, Ki & Co and their six musicians revisit standards of jazz, bossa, Latin, funk, and soul; on the 31st, Calling Strait pays tribute to Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, led by guitarist and singer Mick Ravassat.

August features four evenings: the retro rhythm'n'blues of Cecilya and the Candy Kings, a sextet led by Barcelona-born Cecilya Mestres, on the 7th; the gypsy jazz of JaZziA on the 14th; and the festive songs of the Montpellier group Une Touche d'Optimisme, who celebrate their twentieth anniversary with the show "Libre et Vivant" and the album "La vie d'artiste," on the 21st. On the 28th, Hydra's Project closes the season: six Parisian musicians perform the entire discography of Toto, from Africa to Hold The Line, including Rosanna and Georgy Porgy.

A free municipal event

The Festiv' series is organized by the City of Nogent-le-Rotrou and remains entirely free, with no tickets or reservations required. The concerts last about an hour, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, making them a perfect pre-evening outing: the public can settle in on the square or at the surrounding café terraces, at the foot of the old town dominated by the silhouette of the Château Saint-Jean.
