Summer musical guinguette on the banks of the Loir in Bonneval
In the heart of Beauce, the small medieval town of Bonneval is often nicknamed the "Little Venice of Beauce" thanks to its canals, stone bridges, and washhouses along the Loir. It is in this enchanting setting that La Guinguette de Bonneval takes place every summer, a musical and convivial event that makes the riverbanks vibrate.
True to the tradition of French guinguettes, the event invites locals and visitors to enjoy a moment of relaxation by the Loir. Open-air concerts liven up summer evenings, offering a varied musical program: French chanson, jazz, musette, rock, and popular music. The warm and relaxed atmosphere encourages dancing and sharing between generations.
Food stalls offer the flavors of the Eure-et-Loir region and summer specialties: charcuterie boards, local cheeses, grills, crêpes, and cold drinks. Families settle on the arranged banks to picnic or enjoy the offered food, in a village festival atmosphere.
The guinguette benefits from the exceptional setting of Bonneval, a village classified among the Most Beautiful Detours in France. Visitors can stroll along the canals lined with weeping willows, admire the medieval fortifications and the old Saint-Florentin Abbey, or simply enjoy the bucolic charm of this Beauceron town.
The event is part of the town's summer dynamic, which multiplies activities to bring its heritage to life and attract visitors. The guinguette contributes to Bonneval's tourist appeal and strengthens social ties among residents.
La Guinguette de Bonneval aims to be a popular and accessible event for everyone. Admission is free and concerts are free, allowing everyone to enjoy the music and festive atmosphere without constraint. Families with children are welcome, as the relaxed and safe riverside atmosphere is ideal for family outings.
This event is part of the revival of guinguettes in Eure-et-Loir, a movement that sees these places of conviviality flourish along the department's waterways. The Bonneval guinguette is one of the most picturesque thanks to the village's unique architectural heritage.
La Guinguette de Bonneval opens its 2026 season from May to September, on the banks of the Loir in the heart of the Petite Venise de la Beauce. For five months, the establishment offers musical evenings, seasonal cuisine, and the relaxed atmosphere of an open-air guinguette.
The event is part of Bonneval's summer dynamic, which multiplies activities to bring its river heritage and its medieval center, classified Petits Détours de France, to life.
