The third edition of L'Artisanat C'Chartres will be held on Friday, October 2nd, Saturday, October 3rd, and Sunday, October 4th, 2026, at L'Illiade. The fair adopts a new three-day format (compared to four previously), with two evening events on Friday and Saturday nights.

From Les Artisanales to L'Artisanat C'Chartres: A Reinvented Institution
For over two decades, Les Artisanales de Chartres was one of France's largest craft fairs, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to Chartrexpo each year. In 2024, the event was reinvented under the name L'Artisanat C'Chartres and moved to L'Illiade, the brand-new exhibition center of Chartres Métropole. This renewal marks a new era for the fair, with a modernized setting, redesigned scenography, and an enriched program, while retaining the friendly spirit and quality that made it famous.
Over 500 Exhibitors at the Heart of Know-How
For four days, L'Artisanat C'Chartres brings together over 500 exhibitors — artisans, craftspeople, designers, producers, and merchants — in a space of several thousand square meters. Visitors wander through the aisles discovering exceptional trades: cabinetmakers, potters, cutlers, leatherworkers, glassblowers, jewelers, upholsterers, and many other artisans who perpetuate ancestral skills. Live demonstrations allow visitors to appreciate the meticulousness and passion of these professionals.
Gastronomy and Beauceron Terroir in the Spotlight
The gastronomic aspect of the fair highlights the riches of the Beauceron region and the Centre-Val de Loire. Local producers, bakers, pastry chefs, cheesemakers, craft brewers — including the famous Bière L'Eurélienne — and winemakers present their specialties. Tastings, culinary workshops, and meetings with producers punctuate the days. On Friday evening, a special event in partnership with Localie, the short-circuit grocery store, offers a gourmet immersion into the flavors of the region.
A Family and Festive Event
L'Artisanat C'Chartres is a resolutely family-friendly event. Activities for children, play areas, creative workshops, and live performances mark the four days of the fair. Young visitors can learn the crafts of artisans during participatory workshops specially designed for them. The 2025 edition, themed « Childhood Inspires, Craftsmanship Enhances », put children in the spotlight through interactive activities and demonstrations suitable for all ages.
L'Illiade, a Modern Showcase for Craftsmanship
The move to L'Illiade has provided exhibitors and visitors with a setting worthy of the event's ambition. This next-generation exhibition center, inaugurated by Chartres Métropole, features modular spaces, enhanced accessibility, and modern facilities. Easily accessible from the A11 motorway and served by public transport, L'Illiade now hosts the major events of the Chartres agglomeration in a functional and pleasant environment.
