About Cook Normandy Eure

Cuisinez la Normandie dans l’Eure is the Eure-based chapter of a regional initiative launched by the Normandy Region in 2022. Every autumn, over a two-week period from late October to early November, farms, restaurants, community groups, social centers, and local authorities host cooking workshops centered on Normandy’s finest produce: apples and cider, AOP cheeses, seafood, and seasonal vegetables. The themes highlighted by the Region include zero-waste cooking, Normandy-inspired cocktails, budget-friendly meals, family cooking, and vegetarian cuisine. Workshops last anywhere from 90 minutes to over 3 hours and must be booked directly with each individual organizer.

Cuisinez la Normandie takes place from October 24th to November 8th, 2026, during the Toussaint school holidays. The Normandy Region is hosting over one hundred cooking workshops across its five departments, held at farms, restaurants, community centers, and local organizations. As of mid-August, eight workshops have been confirmed in the Eure department: in Louviers, Pont-Audemer, Mesnil-en-Ouche, Montfort-sur-Risle, La Trinité-de-Réville, Rugles, and Saint-Antonin-de-Sommaire. None are currently scheduled in Évreux.

2026 Edition

The Normandy Region is organizing Cuisinez la Normandie from October 24th to November 8th, 2026. Local organizations, farms, restaurants, associations, social centers, and municipalities are opening their kitchens to the public to showcase Normandy produce. Saveurs de Normandie, Bio en Normandie, the Normandy Chambers of Agriculture, the Regional Shellfish Committee for Normandy-North Sea, and Normandie Fraîcheur Mer are among the suppliers providing the ingredients.

In the Eure department, workshops are spread across seven towns. Évreux, to which this page is linked, is not hosting any this year. The Region's call for expressions of interest closed on July 31st, 2026, and organizer registrations are still being processed; the list below reflects the regional map as of August 18th, 2026, and is subject to change.

Each workshop must be booked directly with the host organization. Spaces are limited, ranging from 8 to 15 participants depending on the session. Participating venues may also choose to extend their workshop with a screening of a film from the 2026 ALIMENTERRE festival selection, followed by a public discussion.

Norman gastronomy within reach

Cuisinez la Normandie (Cook Normandy) is an initiative by the Région Normandie that invites the public to celebrate the gastronomic richness of the territory through participatory cooking workshops. In the Eure department, dozens of workshops are organised every autumn by farms, restaurants, associations, and local authorities, allowing everyone to get hands-on and enhance Norman products.

Varied and accessible workshops

The workshops, lasting 2 to 3 hours, cover diverse and creative themes: zero-waste cooking to reduce food waste, Norman cocktails based on cider and calvados, budget-friendly cooking for economical and tasty recipes, family cooking to share a convivial moment between generations, and vegetarian cooking to explore new flavours. Participants leave with their recipes and the pride of having cooked Norman local products.

Promoting local sectors

The event is part of an approach focused on proximity, sustainability, and conviviality. By highlighting Norman dairy products, apples and cider, seafood, seasonal vegetables, and artisanal specialities, Cuisinez la Normandie supports the agricultural, maritime, and artisanal sectors of the region. The workshops are an opportunity to meet local producers and understand the short supply chains that sustain the Norman terroir.

A well-established regional event

Launched by the Région Normandie in 2022, the Cuisinez la Normandie operation is renewed every autumn, generally between the end of October and the beginning of November. Over the editions, it has brought together more than a hundred workshops spread across the five Norman departments, confirming the enthusiasm of Normans for their culinary heritage and short supply chains.
