Every year from October to March, Wow Safari Thoiry transforms at nightfall into a magical 3-kilometer luminous trail. Thoiry Lumières Sauvages features nearly 3,000 handcrafted silk-covered luminous sculptures, accompanied by an immersive soundscape, through the park's walking trails, botanical gardens, and labyrinth. Since its first edition in 2018, this spectacular event is renewed each season with an original theme and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, making Thoiry one of the most popular winter destinations in Île-de-France.

Thoiry Lumières Sauvages: A Magical Night Journey
Since 2018, Thoiry Lumières Sauvages has transformed the Wow Safari Thoiry into one of the most spectacular luminous events in France. From mid-October to early March, as night falls, a 3-kilometer trail dotted with nearly 3,000 luminous sculptures invites visitors on a dreamlike and musical stroll through the botanical gardens, the walking park, and the famous labyrinth of the Thoiry estate.

Each luminous sculpture is a unique work of art, entirely handcrafted and covered in silk. The creation process involves dozens of artisans who shape monumental structures—fantastic creatures, mythological figures, dreamlike scenery—with a precision and attention to detail that give the trail exceptional visual quality. The entire experience is enhanced by an immersive sound design that accompanies visitors throughout their journey.
A Renewed Theme Each Season
One of the major attractions of Thoiry Lumières Sauvages is the complete renewal of its theme each year. After exploring universes of travel, fairy tales, nature, and civilizations, the 8th edition (2025-2026) presents "Le Bal des Esprits" (The Spirits' Ball), a trail inspired by the Mexican Día de los Muertos and global rituals related to memory and remembrance. The luminous sculptures celebrate life, death, and festivity in a whirlwind of color, music, and dance.

The 9th edition of Thoiry Lumières Sauvages will take place from mid-October 2026 to early March 2027 at Wow Safari Thoiry. A new theme and new luminous sculptures will be unveiled for this season, continuing the tradition of a magical, annually renewed night trail.
Thoiry Lumières Sauvages 2026-2027 - 9th Edition
Thoiry Lumières Sauvages returns for its 9th edition from mid-October 2026 to early March 2027. As every year, Wow Safari Thoiry will offer a completely renewed luminous trail with a new theme, new sculptures, and an unprecedented soundscape.
The 3 km trail through the walking park, botanical gardens, and labyrinth will be lined with thousands of handcrafted luminous sculptures. The theme and detailed program will be announced in autumn 2026.

Access
By Car: Wow Safari Thoiry is located 50 km west of Paris. From Paris, take the A13 towards Rouen, then the A12 towards Dreux, exit Thoiry / Jouars-Pontchartrain. Free parking on site.
By Public Transport: SNCF train (Transilien line N or U) to Montfort-l'Amaury - Méré, then taxi (approx. 10 km). No direct public transport to the park.
Opening Hours
The luminous trail is open daily from 5:00 PM (at dusk). Last entry approximately 1.5 hours before closing. Check exact times on the official website.
