Festival 95 Sounds: The Showcase for Contemporary Music in Val-d'Oise
Born from the will of the Combo 95 network, Festival 95 Sounds is the annual event dedicated to contemporary music in Val-d'Oise. Organized by the structure that has been federating contemporary music players in the department since 1999 — concert halls, rehearsal studios, music associations — it is the most representative showcase of the richness and diversity of local musical creation.
Combo 95, a network of 27 member organizations spread throughout Val-d'Oise, has made this festival a tool for highlighting artists from the territory. The platform 95sounds.fr lists all the bands and artists from the department, the best of whom are given increased visibility during the festival.
An Itinerant Festival in the Urban Community
Festival 95 Sounds takes place in several towns within the Cergy-Pontoise urban community and the Val-d'Oise: Cergy, Vauréal, Jouy-le-Moutier, Éragny-sur-Oise, Écouen, Cormeilles-en-Parisis. This multiple geography allows it to reach diverse audiences and promote the venues and cultural spaces of the agglomeration.
A Network Serving Contemporary Music
Combo 95 is made up of 27 members with complementary missions: performance venues (Le Douze, Le Forum, La Cave), arts centers, recording and rehearsal studios, and artistic development associations. This network densifies the cultural fabric of Val-d'Oise and provides local artists with optimal conditions to develop their projects.
The Ladies On Stage program, which promotes women in music (4th edition in 2025-2026), is part of this dynamic of promoting diversity within the music sector.
A Platform for Artistic Discovery
The festival plays an essential role as a launchpad for emerging artists. By bringing together the best bands and artists from Val-d'Oise alongside national headliners, it creates bridges between the local scene and the national music market. Partnerships with broadcasting structures and labels allow artists discovered at the festival to benefit from professional follow-up after the event.
Strong Associative Roots
The festival reflects the values of Combo 95, an association acting according to the principles of UFISC, the UNESCO convention on cultural diversity, and the Fedelima charter. These commitments translate into inclusive programming, accessible pricing policies, and attention to the working conditions of artists and teams.
