The essential meeting place for French-language song in the Yvelines
L'Estival is the major festival of French-language song in the Yvelines. Created in 1988, it brings together each autumn, from late September to early October, an eclectic and generous program centered around French and Francophone song, mixing established headliners and emerging artists. Itinerant by nature, the festival unfolds across six partner towns — Poissy, Achères, Houilles, Montesson, Andrésy, and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine — offering around twenty concerts over fifteen days. Supported by the Île-de-France Region and the Department of Yvelines, L'Estival has established itself over nearly forty years as a major cultural event in the north of the Yvelines, remaining true to its mission of highlighting the richness and vitality of the Francophone music scene.
Since 1988, L'Estival has celebrated French-language song in the Yvelines every autumn, through a program that combines artistic excellence and openness to all audiences. In nearly four decades, the festival has reinvented itself while remaining true to its mission: to make the French language resonate in all its musical diversity, from rock to pop, from hip-hop to lyrical song, from electro to world music.
One of L'Estival's unique features is its itinerant nature. The festival unfolds across six partner towns in the north of the Yvelines: Poissy, a historic town on the Seine, Achères, Houilles, Montesson, Andrésy, and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a riverside town at the confluence of the Seine and the Oise. Each town hosts concerts in its performance venues and cultural facilities, creating a unique territorial network that enriches the festival. In total, around twenty concerts are offered over fifteen days, from late September to early October.
L'Estival's program is distinguished by its eclecticism and its high standards. Exclusively Francophone, it mixes major figures of song with emerging artists. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists as diverse as Laurent Voulzy, Stephan Eicher, Kery James, Voyou, and Solann, illustrating the diversity of genres and generations represented. L'Estival also gives a prominent place to discoveries, making each edition a musical exploration ground for curious festival-goers.
Beyond the musical program, L'Estival carries a solidarity commitment through L'Estival Solidaire, an annual charitable initiative that supports a different cause each year. In 2025, the action was dedicated to Les Enfants de la Charité, an association working for the education of Syrian children. This humanist dimension anchors the festival in the values of sharing and generosity that animate French-language song.
The 39th edition of L'Estival returns to the Yvelines with fifteen days of Francophone concerts in Poissy and partner towns, from late September to early October 2026.
L'Estival returns for its 39th edition from September 25 to October 10, 2026. The festival continues to champion French-language song through an eclectic and generous program, spread across the six partner towns of the Yvelines. The program will be announced in the spring of 2026.
