Festival à 2 Bulles: A Comic Strip Celebration in Niort

Every year since 2007, the lawns of the Moulin du Roc, a national stage nestled by the Sèvre Niortaise river, host the Festival à 2 Bulles, a unique event in the French comic strip festival landscape. Supported by the Niort'en Bulles association, this festival stands out with its original format: a renowned author is invited each year to take on the role of president and freely curate the program by inviting authors of their choice.

This rotating presidency principle ensures a constant renewal of the program and unique encounters between creators from diverse backgrounds. Since its creation, the festival has hosted major authors of the ninth art, from independent comics and graphic novels to manga and children's illustration.

A Weekend of Encounters and Discoveries

The Festival à 2 Bulles unfolds over two open-air days, with a rich program accessible to all audiences. Signing sessions are at the heart of the festival: about thirty authors are present to meet their readers, chat, and personalize their works. Exhibitions of original plates are set up on site, offering a privileged look at the artists' creative process.

Workshops, Conferences, and Activities

The festival places great importance on young audiences with comic strip creation workshops led by professional authors. Conferences and round tables allow for a deeper exploration of the themes addressed in the guests' works. Concerts and musical entertainment accompany the two days, transforming the site into a place of celebration and conviviality.
