Multidisciplinary, festive, and family-friendly festival in Thomery
Born in 2015 in Thomery, a charming town on the banks of the Seine in Seine-et-Marne, the Au Bon Coin Festival is a multidisciplinary, festive, and family-friendly event organized by the association Pas Trop Loing de la Seine. For three days in August, the Parc de la Salle de la Plage transforms into a cultural village where circus performances, street theater, concerts, and activities for all ages mingle. With about ten concerts, a dozen shows, circus workshops, an artisanal refreshment stand, and local organic food trucks, the festival cultivates a friendly and committed spirit that has won over a loyal audience over its first ten editions.
Since 2015, the association Pas Trop Loing de la Seine has organized every summer in Thomery, a small picturesque wine-growing town on the banks of the Seine, a human-scale festival that combines artistic quality and village conviviality. The Au Bon Coin Festival celebrated its 10th edition in 2025, confirming its place as a must-see cultural event in southern Seine-et-Marne.
The Au Bon Coin Festival's program is based on three pillars: circus and street arts, live music, and performing arts. For three days, about ten concerts and as many shows take place in the Parc de la Salle de la Plage, a green setting on the banks of the Seine. Fanfares, puppet shows, street theater, circus acts, and eclectic concerts make up a program accessible from a young age.
The Au Bon Coin Festival is deeply rooted in the local life of Thomery. Some free shows are programmed off-site, in the church square or at the port of Thomery, allowing residents to encounter the festival in their daily lives. The artisanal refreshment stand offers beers from local producers, the food stalls favor short circuits and organic products, and a craftsmen's village showcases local creation.
One of the festival's hallmarks is its participatory and warm character. Circus workshops allow children and adults to try their hand at circus arts. A free campsite is set up at the Square Chpolansky, 50 meters from the site, with access to water and composted dry toilets, encouraging festival-goers to fully experience the weekend. The entire site is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
In a decade, the Au Bon Coin Festival has grown while preserving its identity as a human-scale festival. The association Pas Trop Loing de la Seine, alongside its partners — Les Pucks, Nonville Loisirs Culture — has built an event that brings generations together around living culture, in a preserved natural setting by the Seine.
The 11th edition of the Au Bon Coin Festival is scheduled from August 21st to 23rd, 2026, in Thomery. The festival continues its multidisciplinary program combining circus, concerts, street theater, and family activities in the green setting of the Parc de la Salle de la Plage.
