The Bordures Festival takes place in Langon-sur-Vilaine, 15 minutes from Redon, 40 minutes from Rennes, and 50 minutes from Nantes, in Ille-et-Vilaine. Initiated in 2015 by François-Xavier Ruan, a concert programmer and native of Langon, the festival was born from the desire to discover emerging and established artists in a rural territory.
Bordures is an optimistic festival that believes in artistic and cultural exchanges outside the dedicated highways. The event is committed to promoting diverse and unclassifiable artistic proposals, from European jazz to world music and contemporary performances.
Each edition hosts established French and European jazz artists, such as Naissam Jalal, alongside original and hard-to-classify artistic proposals. The programming reflects the festival's open-mindedness and musical curiosity.
The festival benefits from the support of the Ministry of Culture – Drac Bretagne, the department of Ille-et-Vilaine, Redon Agglomération, the municipality of Langon, ONDA, Sacem, and Spedidam.
