Three evenings of humor, theater, and song with Laurent Gerra in Val Cenis
Since 2014, the Festival C'est l'Printemps has illuminated the end of the ski season in Val Cenis with three exceptional evenings of humor, theater, and song. Under the artistic direction of Laurent Gerra, a local and passionate ambassador of the Maurienne region, this intimate festival brings together top artists each year in the warm atmosphere of the Auditorium Laurent Gerra – Culture en altitude, in Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis. From Pierre Arditi to Bénabar, from Édouard Baer to many others, the watchwords of the festival are talent, emotion, and laughter. Approximately 700 spectators attend the three evenings, in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere typical of mountain resorts.
The Festival C'est l'Printemps is the flagship cultural event of the Val Cenis resort in Haute-Maurienne. Created in 2014, it has become an unmissable event at the end of the winter season in Savoie, attracting spectators from all over the region each March for three exceptional evenings combining humor, theater, and song.
Laurent Gerra, a nationally renowned comedian, impressionist, and actor, has been the artistic director and master of ceremonies of the festival since its creation. Deeply attached to the Maurienne region and Val Cenis, he puts his exceptional address book to work for the festival by inviting his artist friends each year to perform in this unique mountain setting. His warm presence and infectious enthusiasm give the festival its unique identity, balancing intimacy and artistic excellence.
The shows take place at the Auditorium Laurent Gerra – Culture en altitude, located at 89 rue du Mont-Cenis in Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis. This modern cultural space, inaugurated in the heart of the resort, offers quality acoustic and visual comfort in an intimate setting. Its human-scale capacity allows for a rare closeness between artists and the public, enhancing the emotion and conviviality that characterize the festival.
Each edition of the festival offers an eclectic and ambitious program, blending genres and generations. Over the years, the festival has hosted leading artists from the French performing arts: theater actors, comedians, singers, and singer-songwriters. The three evenings offer varied formats – one-man shows, readings, concerts, plays – allowing every spectator to find something they enjoy.
Val Cenis, a family-friendly ski resort in Haute-Maurienne Vanoise, offers an exceptional setting for this end-of-season festival. Spectators naturally combine a day of skiing on the slopes with an evening show at the auditorium. The relaxed atmosphere of the resort in March, when the days are getting longer and the snow is still abundant, contributes to the festival's unique ambiance.
