The Burgundy Truffle in the Spotlight

Organized each year in October by the Office de Tourisme des Vallées de la Tille et de l'Ignon, the Festival of Truffles and Taste Buds celebrates the Burgundy truffle (Tuber uncinatum) and the flavors of the Burgundian terroir. On the Place de la République in Is-sur-Tille, a gourmet market brings together truffle producers, winemakers, artisans, and restaurateurs for tastings, culinary demonstrations, and festive activities.

A Program Rich in Flavors

The highlight of the day is the preparation of the giant truffle omelette by the Brotherhood of the Burgundy Truffle, which also carries out solemn inductions of new members. The fresh truffle market allows visitors to buy directly from local producers. Truffle hunting demonstrations with truffle dogs, wine and truffle tastings, and culinary workshops led by chefs complete the program.

A Festival Rooted in the Terroir

The Pays d'Is-sur-Tille is a historic region for the production of Burgundy truffles, thanks to its favorable limestone soils. The festival highlights this gastronomic heritage and brings together several thousand visitors each year in a friendly and gourmet atmosphere. Admission is free.
