The Metz Music Scene in Full Swing

Since 2004, the Zikametz Festival has been a must-attend event for contemporary music in Metz. Driven by the Zikamine team in partnership with Cité musicale-Metz, it embodies the creative energy and musical diversity of the Metz scene. In just a few editions, the festival has established itself as a talent scout and a convergence point for fans of contemporary music.

A Sharp and Eclectic Program

Zikametz's program is designed as a musical journey through genres and aesthetics. From rock to electro, hip-hop to pop, as well as experimental music and post-punk, the festival embraces a resolutely avant-garde artistic line. Each edition mixes emerging artists on the rise, local talents from the Grand Est region, and confirmed national and international names.

Discovery as a Driving Force

One of Zikametz's strengths lies in its ability to unearth tomorrow's artists. Many bands programmed at the festival in their early days have gone on to achieve national recognition. This discovery dimension makes the festival a popular event for curious music lovers and music industry professionals.

Les Trinitaires: An Exceptional Setting

The festival takes place in the Trinitaires chapel and its basement, in the heart of Metz. These historic venues, converted into concert halls, offer remarkable acoustics and a unique atmosphere. The chapel's architectural setting, with its stone vaults, lends a quasi-sacred dimension to the concerts, while the basement offers a more intimate and underground vibe.

A Passionate Audience

Zikametz attracts a diverse audience, from students to forty-somethings, from novices to seasoned connoisseurs. The festival cultivates a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, reflecting its eclectic programming. Ticket prices remain accessible, in line with the organizers' desire to make live music accessible to as many people as possible.

A Player in Metz's Cultural Life

Integrated into the programming of Cité musicale-Metz, Zikametz contributes to the city's cultural dynamism and the vitality of its music scene. The festival participates in the contemporary music ecosystem in Moselle, in conjunction with other concert venues, rehearsal studios, and music associations in the region.
