Circus and street arts festival in Périgord Vert
Every last weekend of September, the Festival des Arts Nomades “Le Petit Toit d'Étoiles” takes over the villages of Périgord Vert with a program of circus, street theater, concerts, and festive activities. Founded in 2014, this nomadic festival takes place on the squares and churchyards of villages in the canton of Mareuil-en-Périgord.
The program spans two days with varied performances: outdoor theater on the churchyard, circus shows on the village square, and concerts in the schoolyard or outdoors. The shows alternate between paid performances (€6) and free concerts.
A bar serving local products accompanies the festivities, creating a friendly and festive atmosphere in the heart of the Périgord villages. The festival promotes encounters between nomadic artists and local residents.
The Festival des Arts Nomades “Le Petit Toit d'Étoiles” will return in September 2026 for its 13th edition in the villages of Périgord Vert. Circus, street theater, and concerts will be featured. Dates and program to be confirmed.
By car: Mareuil-en-Périgord is located on the D939, about 35 km northwest of Périgueux.
Last weekend of September. Shows in the afternoon and evening.
Circus and theater shows: €6. Free concerts.
