About Kiosques à Musique

The Festival des Kiosques à Musique is an open-air contemporary music festival organized every summer since 1987 by the association Orcavou in La Voulte-sur-Rhône, in Ardèche. For two weekends around August 15th, the festival offers five evenings of free concerts accessible to all, in the setting of the Parc Baboin-Jaubert, a former 19th-century foundry site. Jazz, rock, chanson, world music, blues, folk, rap, and other styles follow one another on stage.

A historic festival in the heart of La Voulte-sur-Rhône

Since 1987, the Festival des Kiosques à Musique has been bringing La Voulte-sur-Rhône to life every summer around August 15th. Organized by the Orcavou association, managed exclusively by volunteers, this festival is one of the oldest musical events in Ardèche. It offers free open-air concerts in the enchanting setting of Parc Baboin-Jaubert, a former 19th-century foundry site, and on Place Camille Debard.

Eclectic and accessible concerts

The Kiosques à Musique program covers a wide spectrum of current music: jazz, rock, chanson, world music, blues, folk, rap and many other styles. The Orcavou association's mission is to introduce the richness of often little-known contemporary music to as many people as possible, by programming both emerging artists and established groups.

Several evenings over two weekends

The festival unfolds over several evenings spread across two weekends around August 15th. The precise program for each edition (dates, evenings, and times) is announced by the association on its official website and its ticketing page. The 2025 edition, the 37th of its kind, had introduced circus entertainment by Collectif Puzzle (acrobatics and juggling) to entertain the public during openings and intermissions.

A free and participatory festival

The Festival des Kiosques à Musique operates on the principle of voluntary participation: admission is free and each spectator contributes according to their means. This policy guarantees the accessibility of musical culture for all. The on-site refreshment stand and catering, managed by Orcavou volunteers, contribute to the festive and friendly atmosphere that has characterized the festival for nearly four decades.

Kiosques à Musique — edition 2026

Five evenings of open-air concerts are scheduled at Parc Baboin-Jaubert, spread over two weekends (August 7 and 8, then August 13, 14, and 15), in the spirit of musical discovery and conviviality that has made the festival famous since 1987. Access is by free and conscious participation.
