Open-air contemporary music festival in La Voulte-sur-Rhône
The Festival des Kiosques à Musique is an open-air contemporary music festival organized every summer since 1987 by the association Orcavou in La Voulte-sur-Rhône, in Ardèche. For two weekends around August 15th, the festival offers five evenings of free concerts accessible to all, in the setting of the Parc Baboin-Jaubert, a former 19th-century foundry site. Jazz, rock, chanson, world music, blues, folk, rap, and other styles follow one another on stage.
Since 1987, the Festival des Kiosques à Musique has been electrifying La Voulte-sur-Rhône every summer around August 15th. Organized by the association Orcavou, run exclusively by volunteers, this festival is one of Ardèche's oldest musical events. It offers free open-air concerts in the enchanting setting of the Parc Baboin-Jaubert, a former 19th-century foundry site.
The Kiosques à Musique program covers a wide spectrum of contemporary music: jazz, rock, chanson, world music, blues, folk, rap, and many other styles. The Orcavou association's mission is to introduce as many people as possible to the richness of often-unknown contemporary music, by programming both emerging artists and established acts.
The festival unfolds over five evenings spread across two weekends around August 15th. Doors usually open at 8 PM, with concerts starting at 9 PM at the Place Camille Debard and in the Parc Baboin-Jaubert. The 2025 edition (the 37th) introduced a novelty with circus entertainment by Cie Zalam (acrobatics and juggling) to entertain the public during openings and intermissions.
The Festival des Kiosques à Musique operates on the principle of voluntary participation: entry is free, and each spectator contributes according to their means. This policy guarantees the accessibility of musical culture for everyone. The on-site bar and food stalls, managed by Orcavou volunteers, contribute to the festive and friendly atmosphere that has characterized the festival for nearly four decades.
The 38th edition of the Festival des Kiosques à Musique is announced for August 2026 in La Voulte-sur-Rhône. Five evenings of free open-air concerts at Parc Baboin-Jaubert, in the spirit of musical discovery and conviviality that has made the festival renowned since 1987.
