Christmas market in the medieval alleys of the village with eleven towers in Drôme provençale
The Medieval Christmas Market of Taulignan takes over the alleys and squares of the fortified village of Taulignan, a medieval city with eleven towers in Drôme provençale, every year at the end of November. More than 95 artisans selected for the quality of their handmade creations exhibit jewelry, leather goods, pottery, fabrics, Christmas decorations, and traditional delicacies. A recreated medieval camp with knights and period artisans, live shows, medieval musicians, archery, fire show, Santa Claus arrivals, spelt soup, and mulled wine mark this festive and free weekend.
Every year, on the last weekend of November, the fortified village of Taulignan opens its doors to an exceptional Medieval Christmas Market. This charming town in Drôme provençale, famous for its eleven medieval towers and ramparts, offers a naturally authentic setting for a Christmas market that transports visitors to the Middle Ages.
The market brings together over 95 artisans rigorously selected for the quality of their handmade creations. The village's alleys, squares, and lanes transform into a maze of stalls offering: artisanal jewelry, leather goods, pottery, nougat, sewing, fabrics, Christmas decorations, traditional delicacies, and many other artisanal treasures. The selection guarantees authentic, high-quality products, far from mass production.
The Taulignan Christmas Market stands out with its 12 free animations that immerse visitors in the medieval world:
