Festival Drôlement Bien: Besançon, capital of laughter

Since its creation in January 2023, the Festival Drôlement Bien has revolutionized the cultural landscape of Besançon, making it a true capital of humor. Founded by Hamid Asseila, CEO of NG Productions, the festival immediately met with resounding success: 12,000 spectators in its first edition, followed by 14,000 in its second in 2024.

Humor in all its forms

The Festival Drôlement Bien is not limited to stand-up shows. It offers a diverse program that embraces all forms of humor and entertainment: one man/woman shows, improv battles, cult film screenings (screenings of cult films with commentary), escape games, laughter yoga, drawing workshops, museum tours, and many other surprising activities.

More than 25 shows in 20 venues across Besançon

What sets the Festival Drôlement Bien apart is its presence throughout the city. More than 20 venues are used over four days: the Kursaal, Le Scènacle, the Conservatoire, Micropolis, the Mégarama Beaux-Arts cinema, and many other spaces. This geographical spread creates a festive atmosphere throughout the city and offers spectators a unique urban festival experience.

Renowned artists and emerging talents

The program skillfully blends headliners and emerging artists. The 2025 edition, the third of its kind, featured prestigious names such as Djamel Debbouze, Alban Ivanov, Jarry, Nawel Madani, Yann Marguet, Laurie Perret, and Alexandre Kominek. The festival also highlights the rising stars of French comedy, offering valuable visibility to tomorrow's talents.

Driven by NG Productions, a cultural production company located at 15 rue de la République in Besançon, the Festival Drôlement Bien is part of a strong cultural dynamic. It benefits from the support of the City of Besançon and its partners, and brings together a network of dedicated volunteers.
