A Free Festival in the Heart of Perche
Since 2008, the Festival du Thé Vert has transformed the Théâtre de Verdure in Nogent-le-Rotrou into an open-air stage dedicated to contemporary music every summer. Driven by the association La Théière and a team of enthusiastic volunteers, this entirely free festival has built a loyal and growing audience over the years. The green setting of the Théâtre de Verdure, nestled in the regional natural park of Perche, offers an ideal backdrop for enjoying open-air concerts in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
An Eclectic and Demanding Program
The strength of the Festival du Thé Vert lies in its deliberately mixed programming. Each edition features about fifteen artists and bands covering a wide spectrum of music: pop, rock, electro, cumbia, hip-hop, soul, reggae, funk, and many other genres. The festival highlights discoveries and emerging artists, while also welcoming more established acts. This musical diversity is the DNA of Thé Vert, which refuses to be confined to a single genre, aiming instead to surprise and delight its audience.
An Event Rooted in its Territory
Beyond music, the Festival du Thé Vert plays a unifying role for the town of Nogent-le-Rotrou and the Perche region. The event attracts festival-goers from all over the Centre-Val de Loire region and beyond, contributing to the cultural dynamism and tourist appeal of this historic town. The free admission, a fundamental value of the festival, allows all audiences to enjoy quality musical offerings in an exceptional setting. Food and drink stalls complete the festive experience in a friendly atmosphere typical of outdoor festivals.
17 Editions of Musical Passion
Since its creation, the Festival du Thé Vert has continued to grow, evolving from a local event to a recognized cultural gathering in Eure-et-Loir. The 17th edition in 2025 testifies to the vitality and sustainability of this associative project, which relies on the commitment of its volunteers and the support of local authorities. Each year, the festival boldly renews its programming, showcasing the most diverse musical trends and confirming its place among the essential music events in the department.
