An engaged film festival for over 20 years

The Festival Écran Total was born in October 2001, from the desire to promote the diversity of cinema and to support auteur films and art-house cinemas in the Grenoble metropolitan area. Initially led by TTi, then taken over by the association Les CE Tissent la Toile, the festival has established itself over the years as an essential cinephile event in Isère.

A demanding and friendly program

Each edition offers a demanding and varied selection of films, chosen by a collective of enthusiasts. The program mixes previews, national releases, revivals of notable films, and film-concerts, all followed by debates with directors and film professionals. The goal is to create a meeting space between cinephiles and the general public in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

A traveling festival in art-house cinemas

The Festival Écran Total has the unique feature of changing its host venue each year, touring the AcrirA cinema network in the Grenoble metropolitan area. This traveling nature helps to showcase the territory's art-house cinemas and reach new audiences. The festival also unfolds through satellite events such as the Jeudis d'Écran Total at Mon Ciné in Saint-Martin-d'Hères and the Printemps d'Écran Total at Cinéma Paradiso in Tullins.

A network of committed partners

The festival relies on a strong network of partners: the association Savatou, the network of art-house cinemas AcrirA, works councils, and socio-cultural structures. This collective dynamic makes it possible to offer a quality program while making auteur cinema accessible to the greatest number of people.
