Les Allées Chantent: A Musical Tour of Isère

Les Allées Chantent is a traveling festival organized by EPCC Arts en Isère Dauphiné Alpes (AIDA), a public cultural cooperation establishment of the Department of Isère. Each year, this unique initiative offers approximately 80 free concerts spread throughout the Isère region, from the north to the south of the department, including the smallest rural communes.

Exceptional Heritage Sites

One of the distinctive features of Les Allées Chantent is the choice of performance venues. Concerts are held in remarkable heritage sites: castles, churches, departmental museums, parks and gardens, renovated barns, old factories, and other unique spaces. This showcasing of Isère's heritage through music creates a unique experience for attendees, who discover or rediscover often-unfamiliar places while enjoying a high-quality musical program.

An Eclectic and Demanding Program

The program of Les Allées Chantent encompasses all musical styles: classical music, world music, jazz, French chanson, contemporary music, improvised music, traditional music, and contemporary creations. The festival favors intimate formats, conducive to encounters and exchanges between artists and the audience. It features both renowned national and international artists and emerging bands in the process of professionalization, thus playing an essential role as an artistic springboard and showcase within the region.

A 100% Free Festival

True to its mission of cultural democratization, Les Allées Chantent is entirely free. This complete accessibility allows it to reach a broad and diverse audience, from seasoned music lovers to families and residents of rural areas far from major cultural centers. The festival serves as a genuine tool for territorial networking and social cohesion through culture.

A Musical Season Throughout the Year

Les Allées Chantent unfolds over a large part of the year, with concerts scheduled from spring to autumn, covering multiple seasons. Touring bands travel through the department over several days, offering their concerts in various Isère communes. This itinerant nature allows for musical events to be created in areas usually underserved by cultural offerings.
