A festival born from an artists' collective
Le Grand Baz'Arts des Petits is one of the flagship events of the Le Baz'Arts collective, a group of artistic companies established since 2008 in the Renaudie district of Saint-Martin-d'Hères, in the Grenoble metropolitan area. This collective, initially composed of the companies ACA, Ainsidanse, and du Réel, has grown over the years with new residents, making the venue a space for artistic creation and diffusion rooted in the life of the neighborhood.
Performances for toddlers and their families
Every autumn, during the October school holidays, Le Grand Baz'Arts des Petits offers a program entirely dedicated to young audiences: dance performances, music, object theater, puppetry, and artistic forms designed for young children. The performances are presented by the resident companies of Baz'Arts and by invited companies, in an intimate and warm atmosphere.
Creative workshops and shared snacks
In addition to the performances, the festival offers creative workshops every morning, led by artists, allowing children to explore dance, theater, visual arts, or music. In the afternoon, after the performance, a shared snack brings families and artists together for a moment of conviviality. These moments of connection are an integral part of the festival's identity, which aims to be a space for sharing and artistic proximity.
A unique cultural venue in Renaudie
Baz'Arts is located at 63, avenue du 8 mai 1945 in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, in a building in the Renaudie district. This space, shared by several companies, hosts creation residencies, rehearsals, and cultural events throughout the year. Le Grand Baz'Arts des Petits is an opportunity for residents of the neighborhood and the Grenoble metropolitan area to discover this unique venue and the artists who work there.
A free and accessible festival
One of the strengths of Le Grand Baz'Arts des Petits is its complete freeness. Performances, workshops, and snacks are offered to the public, making culture accessible to all families, without financial barriers. Reservations are required due to limited capacity, but the event remains open to all, in a spirit of inclusion and cultural democratization. The festival is supported by the City of Saint-Martin-d'Hères and cultural partners such as Enfance et Musique.
