Traveling public festival in Bièvre Isère
Created in 2008, the Les Arts en Herbe festival is a cultural event entirely dedicated to young audiences, organized every autumn by Bièvre Isère Communauté. For two to three weeks in October, shows, workshops, games, readings, and encounters take place in a dozen towns in the region. Since 2017, the festival has moved to a new area each year, with the aim of being as close as possible to residents. Les Arts en Herbe offers a multidisciplinary artistic program for children, parents, and grandparents.
Since 2008, the Les Arts en Herbe festival has been enchanting audiences of all ages with a program entirely dedicated to young audiences. Organized by Bièvre Isère Communauté, this autumn event allows children to discover performing arts in all its forms, accompanied by their parents and grandparents, in a welcoming and accessible environment.
The Les Arts en Herbe program combines puppet shows, object theater, dance, music, circus, and storytelling, chosen for their artistic quality and their ability to amaze the youngest. In addition to the shows, creative workshops allow children to try their hand at artistic practice: visual arts, music, body expression. Readings, games, and meet-and-greets with artists complete the program.
Since 2017, the Les Arts en Herbe festival has moved to a new area of the Bièvre Isère territory each year, with the aim of being as close as possible to residents. Beyond the festival, Bièvre Isère Communauté carries out numerous cultural mediation activities with partners for children and early childhood. Daycare centers, libraries, leisure centers, early childhood support centers, and schools benefit from cultural activities throughout the year: workshops, shows, and, since 2022, Festi'bulles, small-scale artistic sharing moments.
The Les Arts en Herbe festival contributes to the development of children's artistic curiosity and sensitivity through quality multidisciplinary artistic offerings. By offering shows accessible from a very young age in local venues, the festival contributes to the cultural awakening of the region's inhabitants and the democratization of access to culture in rural areas. The festival is supported by the Department of Isère.
