The street arts festival by the water in Léry-Poses
Created in 2018 by the Agglomération Seine-Eure, the Les Embarqués Festival has become the flagship event for street arts in Normandy. Every year in June, the Léry-Poses Leisure Park hosts free circus, theater, music, dance, and pyrotechnic shows by the water. Preceded by the "Escales" (Stopovers) in the towns of the territory, the festival offers a weekend of artistic discoveries for the whole family.
The Les Embarqués Festival is a free street arts festival that takes place every year in June at the Parc de Loisirs de Léry-Poses, in the heart of the Seine loop in the Eure region. Created in 2018 by the Agglomération Seine-Eure, it quickly established itself as the unmissable cultural event of the territory, with its unique combination of street performances by the water.
The Parc de Loisirs de Léry-Poses offers a remarkable natural setting for street arts. Between bodies of water, green spaces, and shaded paths, companies take over this lakeside landscape to create shows that dialogue with the environment. Aquatic performances, on-water installations, and aerial shows take advantage of this unique setting to offer immersive artistic experiences.
The festival offers a rich and varied program that mixes circus, theater, music, dance, and pyrotechnic shows. The most inventive national and international street arts companies perform on the site throughout the weekend. In 2024, the public discovered "Archibald Caramantran" and its magic lanterns, the "Bal Saint Louis" with the Big Johanna fanfare, and the final show by Groupe F with a celestial drone choreography. In 2025, Transe Express offered a spectacular aerial grand finale.
For several editions, the Les Embarqués Festival has been extended with the Escales, traveling shows deployed in about ten towns in the Seine-Eure territory the week before the festival. Acrobatics, performances, humorous and street shows take over the squares and gardens of neighboring towns, allowing residents to experience the festival's effervescence closer to home.
Entirely free (only parking at the Leisure Park is charged at €5), the Les Embarqués Festival is an event open to all, designed for families and the curious of all ages. The gates open on Saturday at noon for festivities that continue until 2 a.m., and Sunday offers a full day of open-air entertainment and shows.
The Les Embarqués Festival 2026 is scheduled for June at the Parc de Léry-Poses. The festival will continue to offer a multidisciplinary program of free street arts by the water, accessible to all.
The Les Embarqués Festival returns in June 2026 to the Parc de Léry-Poses for a new free and multidisciplinary edition. The program will be announced in spring 2026. The Escales will precede the festival in the towns of the Seine-Eure territory.
