Libre et Debout — edition 2026
La Passerelle has announced a second edition of Libre et Debout in Florange, though no dates had been published as of mid-August 2026. Lady Poï, a singer from the Grand Est region who held a creative residency at the venue in April 2026, is the only name confirmed so far. The October 16th and 17th dates shown on this listing are based on the schedule from the first edition—October 17th and 18th, 2025—and do not appear in any official source.
Programme Libre et Debout 2026
No program has been released for this second edition. The only confirmed act is Lady Poï, who is set to perform several tracks; La Passerelle announced this on their Facebook page on April 28, 2026, following the artist's creative residency at the venue.
La Passerelle's public calendar, which extends through 2029, shows no events for October 16th and 17th, 2026. In 2025, the full program was released on September 23rd, less than a month before the opening. You should keep an eye on passerelle-florange.fr and the venue's Facebook page for the 2026 schedule.

Information and ticketing
The La Passerelle office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You can reach them at 03 82 59 17 99 or via email at [email protected]. The ticket office is open Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On show nights, the venue and ticket office open two hours before the performance. Online tickets are available at lapasserelle-florange.mapado.com.
Activities held at the library must be booked directly with them by calling 03 82 59 44 90 or emailing [email protected].
On-site facilities
The venue has 15 spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility, and an elevator provides access to the first floor. A bar serving light snacks opens two hours before shows and remains open after the performance.
A festival inspired by Richard Malka
Libre et Debout was founded by La Passerelle, the performing arts venue in Florange, which will host its inaugural edition on October 17th and 18th, 2025. The spark for the event came from a comment made by lawyer Richard Malka to a journalist ten years after the Charlie Hebdo attacks: "We didn't do our job!" The organizers turned this into a gathering dedicated to freedom of expression and the fine line "between what can and cannot be said," which they have dubbed an "intellectual pop festival." The choice of October is a tribute to Samuel Paty, the history and geography teacher who was murdered on October 16th, 2020.
What to expect
The festival takes place across two neighboring buildings on Avenue de Lorraine: La Passerelle at number 50 and the municipal library at number 51. In 2025, all events are free, with the exception of the Friday evening show at La Passerelle, which requires a separate ticket.
The 2025 inaugural edition kicks off on Friday at 4:00 PM with a conference on media literacy at the library, followed by Sophia Aram's one-woman show "Le Monde d'après" at 8:00 PM. Saturday features the bulk of the program at La Passerelle: an opening ceremony at 10:00 AM, a concert-reading, two film screenings ("Persepolis" and "The Swallows of Kabul"), a conference on freedom of expression, storytelling sessions for children aged 4-9, all-day role-playing and board game demonstrations, and a book fair with around thirty authors signing their work. In the afternoon, the library will host three creative workshops for children, which require prior registration.
