A journey to the heart of Asian cultures
The Festival Mille et Une Lanternes is a unique cultural event in Canet-en-Roussillon, dedicated to discovering East Asian cultures. Created in 2023 by the Association Canétoise Féerique & Fantastique (ACFF), this free festival invites the public on an immersive journey through South Korea, China, and Japan.
A rich and varied program
The festival offers a full day of activities and discoveries:
- Immersive exhibitions: an exhibition dedicated to traditional China and an immersive photo exhibition on South Korea
- Creator and association stands: artisans and enthusiasts of Asian cultures
- Performances and demonstrations: J-Pop, C-Pop, K-Pop, and T-Pop dance, Chinese zither demonstrations
- Participatory activities: workshops, games, quizzes, and cosplay contests
- Asian food: stands offering Asian culinary specialties
A family-friendly and free event
Open to all, the Festival Mille et Une Lanternes is a moment of intergenerational sharing and discovery. Admission is free, and activities take place from 10 am to 6 pm in a festive and colorful atmosphere, reflecting the lanterns that give the festival its name.
