A Rock Festival Born from Passion in 2012

The Rock'Aisne Festival was born in 2012 in Chauny, in the Aisne department, driven by a handful of enthusiasts within the Festival Rock'Aisne association (formerly Acetaat Productions), based in Villequier-Aumont. The objective is simple yet ambitious: to offer the southern Aisne and all of Picardy a quality rock event, with a lineup that mixes international headliners and emerging bands. From its very first edition, the festival has been held at Le Forum, Chauny's municipal cultural center, a 660-seat venue located at Place Yves Brinon, offering an intimate setting and acoustics suited for amplified music.

An Eclectic Program Led by Rock Greats

Over its editions, the Rock'Aisne Festival has forged a strong identity by programming internationally renowned artists alongside local and regional bands. The festival explores a wide spectrum of rock and its subgenres: hard rock, blues rock, progressive rock, punk, alternative rock, indie rock, and classic rock. Among the notable artists who have graced the Forum stage are Nina Hagen, Therapy?, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Slade, The Yardbirds, Blues Pills, Chris Slade (AC/DC), Popa Chubby, Triggerfinger, Ten Years After, Wishbone Ash, The Animals and Friends, Laura Cox, Ray Wilson (Genesis), Mostly Autumn, Last Train, Les Tambours du Bronx, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, and DeWolff.

Le Forum de Chauny: An Intimate Venue for Rock

The festival takes place at the Centre culturel Le Forum, located at Place Yves Brinon in Chauny. This municipal venue, with a capacity of 660 seats, offers an ideal indoor setting for rock concerts: proximity to artists, quality sound, and a warm atmosphere. Le Forum has a supervised parking lot, disabled access, and a bar with light catering. Chauny, a town in Aisne located between Laon, Saint-Quentin, and Compiègne, benefits from convenient train service on the Paris-Laon line.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

The Rock'Aisne Festival has undergone several evolutions during its decade of existence. Initially focused on a single spring weekend, the festival has expanded its programming in some years, offering concerts spread over several months under the name Rock'N, while maintaining its rock identity and its base at Le Forum de Chauny. The 10th edition in 2023, featuring Therapy?, Laura Cox, and Ray Wilson as headliners, marked a symbolic milestone for this festival, which has established itself as a major cultural player in the Aisne region. With accessible prices (passes starting from 25-33 euros, free for children under 12) and an international lineup, the Rock'Aisne Festival proves that rock is vibrantly alive in the Hauts-de-France region.
