Three days of punk, rock, and metal sung in French in Beautor
Founded in 2019 by the association Reivax Tour, L'Arsenal Rock Festival is a community music event rooted in Beautor, a small town in the Aisne department located between Chauny and Tergnier, in the Hauts-de-France region. This open-air festival aims to be punk, rock, festive, danceable, eco-friendly, supportive, and friendly, reflecting the DIY spirit that drives its volunteer organizers. After a successful first edition in September 2019, the festival had to contend with COVID-related cancellations in 2020 and 2021, before returning stronger in May 2022 for a second edition expanded to three days.
The festival is held annually at the Zone de Loisirs de Beautor, a vast 30-hectare green space located on rue de la Fosse, by a pond. This natural and bucolic setting offers a striking contrast to the raw energy of the concerts. The proximity to the artists, the human scale of the event, and the good-natured atmosphere make it a popular gathering for fans of alternative music and families.
L'Arsenal Rock Festival champions a lineup resolutely focused on punk, rock, and metal sung in French. Since its creation, the festival has hosted cult bands from the French alternative scene: Les Wampas, Ludwig Von 88, Lofofora, Marcel et son Orchestre, Silmarils, Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Guillotine, Pogo Car Crash Control, Cachemire, Les Vulves Assassines, Opium du Peuple, Vulgaires Machins, and Goulamas'k. Each edition mixes iconic headliners and emerging discoveries, offering a showcase for local bands and independent artists.
Reivax Tour is a small association from Tergnier dedicated to promoting live music through the organization of concerts and festivals. L'Arsenal Rock Festival embodies this spirit: volunteer work, accessible prices, free entry for under 15s, proximity between the audience and artists, and children's areas for families. Festival-goers report an atmosphere of fraternity in the pit and a rare sense of camaraderie, where musicians mingle with the audience between sets. The festival welcomes an increasing number of spectators each year, confirming its place in the landscape of alternative festivals in the Hauts-de-France region.
L'Arsenal Rock Festival held its 6th edition from May 14 to 16, 2026, offering three days of concerts, celebration, and pure energy in a unique setting at the Beautor Leisure Zone. The lineup, as always, blended cult bands and discoveries from the French-speaking punk, rock, and metal scene.
Thursday, May 14, opened the festivities with Didier Super Métal, the king of trash humor in a metal version, accompanied by Tulaviok, Les Vilains Clowns, Single Ladies, Karaboudjan, Calimucho, and Poésie Zéro Rueil-Malmaison. Friday, May 15, ramped up with Sidilarsen, a historical figure of the French metal-electro scene, and 8'6 Crew (ska-punk), accompanied by Bad Tripes, Silly Walk, Tante Adèle, Les Kipenska, Stop Giving Power, and Cherokee Lane between stages. Saturday, May 16, closed the festival in apotheosis with the legendary Silmarils, back on stage, accompanied by Krav Boca, Cyclope, Parpaing Papier, Asile, Méga Culpa, and Existence Saine.
French rock and punk, amidst good spirits and greenery: L'Arsenal Rock Festival 2026 confirmed its status as a pillar of the festival landscape in Hauts-de-France for this associative event supported by Reivax Tour.
