A month of concerts across Hauts-de-France
Launched in 2016 in its current form, the Haute Fréquence festival is the major musical event of the Hauts-de-France Region every November. Heir to the Picardie Mouv' festival, it has expanded its scope to the entire new region to offer a full month of concerts in sometimes unusual venues: theaters, media libraries, village halls, old farms, breweries, barges. With over 70 artists programmed and concerts spread across the region's five departments, Haute Fréquence offers a skillful blend of genres — rock, electro, pop, hip-hop, French chanson, world music, jazz, reggae — and gives a voice to headliners as well as emerging talents from Hauts-de-France.
Every year in November, the Haute Fréquence festival transforms the Hauts-de-France region into a vast concert hall. For a whole month, dozens of concerts take over the venues, clubs, and unusual spots in the region's five departments — Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Somme, Aisne, and Oise — to offer a rich and eclectic musical program.
Born in 2016 from the transformation of the Picardie Mouv' festival, Haute Fréquence accompanied the creation of the new Hauts-de-France region by expanding its geographical scope and programming. The principle is simple yet ambitious: to offer concerts at very accessible prices in sometimes unexpected venues — theaters, media libraries, village halls, old farms, breweries, barges — to promote access to music and culture for everyone.
Haute Fréquence's programming skillfully blends musical genres: rock, electro, pop, hip-hop, French chanson, world music, jazz, reggae, soul, funk. Each edition hosts over 70 artists, from national headliners to emerging talents from the regional scene.
The festival also includes talks, workshops, and Résonances — participatory events that extend the musical experience and foster dialogue between artists and the public.
Haute Fréquence is an inherently touring festival. Rather than concentrating its programming in a single city, it spreads across as many towns as possible, from large cities (Lille, Amiens, Beauvais) to the smallest villages. This proactive approach helps bring live music to areas sometimes far from cultural offerings, while highlighting the diversity of venues and performance spaces in the region.
The festival is supported and funded by the Région Hauts-de-France, demonstrating the commitment of local authorities to culture and live music. It mobilizes a network of concert halls, cultural associations, and local authorities throughout the region.
In the Somme department, Amiens is one of the major hubs of the Haute Fréquence festival. Each year, several concerts are programmed in the Picardy capital, notably at La Lune des Pirates, a contemporary music venue, and in other cultural venues in the city and its surrounding area.
The Haute Fréquence festival will return in November 2026 for another month of concerts across Hauts-de-France. The lineup will be announced in the fall of 2026.
The Haute Fréquence festival will be back in November 2026 for a new edition across Hauts-de-France. As every year, the festival will offer a full month of concerts in dozens of venues throughout the region's five departments.
The lineup will be announced in the fall of 2026 on the festival's official website. The format will remain the same: concerts at accessible prices in concert halls, theaters, media libraries, and unusual venues.
The festival takes place in numerous venues across the Hauts-de-France region. The program specifies the location for each concert. In Amiens, concerts are held notably at La Lune des Pirates and in other venues in the city.
