About Retro Game Festival
Since 2022, the Elispace in Beauvais has dedicated a weekend each November to retro gaming and pop culture. Organized by the City of Beauvais, the event features arcade cabinets, legendary consoles, tournaments, and meet-and-greets with gaming personalities. Each edition explores a different theme: The Lord of the Rings in 2024, and Star Wars and Toy Story in 2025.
Retro Game Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Rétro Game Festival takes place from November 6th to 8th at the Elispace in Beauvais, featuring a Marvel and K-pop theme. An opening night with a family-friendly concert kicks off the event on Friday, followed by two days of arcade cabinets, tournaments, autograph sessions, and activities on Saturday and Sunday.

For its 5th edition, the Rétro Game Festival is celebrating the Marvel universe and embracing K-pop, with themed activities running throughout the entire weekend.

Practical information
The festival is held at the Elispace, 3 avenue Paul-Henri Spaak in Beauvais. Free parking is available nearby. Food trucks are on-site for refreshments. Visitors with reduced mobility are encouraged to contact the organizers in advance to plan their visit. Online booking is recommended.
A festival born in 2022
Launched in 2022 by the City of Beauvais, the Retro Game Festival brings retro gaming enthusiasts together at the Elispace. After its first two editions, the event has become a staple of the Beauvais cultural calendar, featuring a fresh theme every year.
Themed editions
The 3rd edition in 2024 honored The Lord of the Rings, featuring a concert by the Oise Philharmonic Orchestra dedicated to the trilogy's score and appearances by French voice actors. The 4th edition in 2025 celebrated Star Wars and Toy Story, complete with a life-sized X-wing installed at the Elispace and a guest appearance by Richard Darbois, the French voice of Buzz Lightyear.
Over 200 arcade cabinets
The festival showcases over 200 arcade cabinets and iconic consoles across approximately 600 m², featuring tournaments (Street Fighter, Mario Kart, Tetris, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), an autograph area, a shop, and family-friendly activities.
