Les Photaumnales
Diaphane's photography festival in the Oise and Hauts-de-France regions
2026
About Les Photaumnales
Every autumn, Les Photaumnales brings a photography festival to the Hauts-de-France region, organized by Diaphane, a photography hub based in Clermont, Oise. Since 2004, each edition has focused on a specific theme, showcasing between fifty and one hundred artists through a mix of contemporary works and historical collections.
The festival hosts exhibitions at the Quadrilatère in Beauvais and at various cultural partner venues across both urban and rural areas, including Clermont, Amiens, Berck, and Noyon. Alongside the exhibitions, Diaphane offers guided tours, lectures, and hands-on photography workshops.
Les Photaumnales — edition 2026
The 23rd edition, titled "Photography and After?", kicks off the national season celebrating the bicentenary of the invention of photography in France. It brings together historical archives from the Beauvaisis region with contemporary works, featuring guest artist Stéphane Couturier and six post-photography projects showcased across the region.
The Quadrilatère in Beauvais hosts the main exhibitions, which extend to partner venues in Clermont, Amiens, Berck, and Noyon, including the opening of photographer Hippolyte Bayard's birthplace in Breteuil-sur-Noye.
