Street arts festival in the Hautes-Pyrénées
The Rue Barrée Festival is a street arts festival created by the cultural association Rue Barrée (law 1901). Initially based in Lourdes for twelve years, the festival moved to Ibos in 2025. This free event, open to all, offers a day of street performances and concerts: eccentric clowns, street theater, circus, music, storytelling, and contemporary dance. The spirit of the festival is based on gratuity and sharing, with a free participation "in the hat".
The Rue Barrée Festival is an event dedicated to street arts, led by the cultural association Rue Barrée. For one day, performances take over the streets and squares for the public's enjoyment, in a spirit of gratuity and sharing.
The festival offers a rich and varied program: eccentric clowns, street theater, circus, concerts, musical shows, storytelling, and contemporary dance. Artists perform in the streets and squares, creating moments of surprise and conviviality with the audience.
True to the spirit of street arts, the Rue Barrée Festival is free and open to all. Participation is voluntary, "in the hat". This commitment to gratuity allows all audiences to discover street arts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
After twelve years of collaboration with the town of Lourdes, the festival took a new turn in 2025 by settling in Ibos, in the center of the village, to continue its mission of promoting street arts in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
The Rue Barrée Festival will return in October 2026 for another day of free street performances in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
