The Terres de Granit Festival combines musical excellence and Creuse heritage in an exceptional natural setting. Every summer, on the last weekend of July, the commune of Fransèches hosts classical music concerts in places steeped in history and beauty, where the omnipresent granite lends a unique atmosphere to the performances.

Remarkable concert venues

The festival unfolds in three emblematic sites of the region: the Théâtre de verdure des Essarts, an open-air natural setting ideal for summer concerts; the Église de Fransèches, whose acoustics enhance instrumental performances; and the village of Masgot, famous for its granite sculptures, offering a unique artistic backdrop. This diversity of venues enriches the musical experience and invites exploration of the local heritage.

Accessible and varied programming

True to its mission of making classical music accessible to all, the festival offers varied programming mixing diverse instrumental ensembles — guitar, string ensembles, choirs — accompanied by local ensembles such as the Archets Creusois. The Terres de Granit association and the Fransèches Festival Committee join forces to make this event a moment of cultural sharing rooted in the territory.
