The free contemporary music festival in the heart of the three borders
The history of the Conç'Air Festival began in 2005, when the City of Saint-Louis decided to create a major cultural event, free and open to all, that would resonate across the Swiss and German borders. Located in the extreme south of Alsace, a few hundred meters from Basel and Weil am Rhein, Saint-Louis occupies a unique geographical position. The festival reflects this cross-border identity: a meeting place where audiences from three countries gather each summer to vibrate to the sound of contemporary music.
Each edition takes place over two consecutive evenings in July, on the Place du Forum Jean-Marie Zoellé, transformed into a huge open-air stage. Six artists — three per evening — perform starting at 7:10 PM in front of an audience that can reach 20,000 people. Admission is completely free, with no reservation required, true to the festival's founding philosophy: to offer quality programming accessible to everyone, without financial barriers.
The strength of Conç'Air lies in the eclecticism of its programming. From one evening to the next, genres cross and respond to each other: rap, pop, French variety, afrobeat, urban… The festival embraces a mainstream artistic direction while also offering discoveries. The 2025 edition, which celebrated the festival's 20th anniversary, featured Naza, Jungeli, and Yorssy on Friday, followed by Pierre Garnier, Styleto, and Anaïs MVA on Saturday, mixing confirmed headliners with rising talents.
Beyond the concerts, Conç'Air offers an expanded gourmet village with a varied culinary offer: pizzas, Vietnamese cuisine, empanadas, smash burgers, bao buns, hot dogs, waffles, and artisanal ice cream. Cashless payment facilitates transactions throughout the site. Free shuttles connect the parking lots to the festival site, and the square is also accessible by public transport.
The Conç'Air Festival returns on July 17 and 18, 2026, to the Place du Forum Jean-Marie Zoellé in Saint-Louis for its 21st edition. Two evenings of free open-air concerts in the heart of the three borders. The program will be announced in the spring of 2026.
