About Tôt ou T'Arts
The Festival Tôt ou T'Arts is the only itinerant street arts festival in Pays de Gex, organized by the Centre Socioculturel Les Libellules in Gex (01). From late April to September, it travels through the villages of the Jura foothills with free shows: theatre, circus, music, puppets, dance, magic, juggling.
A program for all audiences, featuring French and international companies (Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay…), with a final weekend in Gex that concludes the tour with festivities.
A unique itinerant festival in Pays de Gex
Created and supported by the Centre Socioculturel Les Libellules in Gex, the Festival Tôt ou T'Arts has become, over the years, the unmissable street arts event in Ain and Haut-Jura. Its singularity : an itinerant tour that sets up big tops, mobile stages, and shows in the public squares of about ten partner communes in the Jura foothills, from spring to late summer.
A program for all audiences and free
Wordless theatre, circus (clowns, acrobats, juggling, new and burlesque circus), music, humor, puppets, magic, interactive exhibitions, dance : the festival offers a journey into a festive and poetic universe, designed for families, open to young and old alike. Shows take place outdoors in village squares, with indoor fallback solutions in case of bad weather.
French and international companies
Each edition brings together about twenty companies from France and several European and Latin American countries (Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay…). Names such as Cie Fil à Retordre, Cie Tout Par Terre, Cie Vibration Visuelle, Cie Planeta Trampoli or Cie Teatro Golondrino are frequently featured.
Partner communes
Over the editions, the festival stops in Gex, Cessy, Crozet, Ferney-Voltaire, Léaz (Fort l'Écluse), Ornex, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Segny, Versonnex, Chézery-Forens, Mijoux, Lélex, Sauverny, depending on the editions and partnerships with the municipalities.
A final weekend in Gex
The tour concludes each year with a festive weekend in Gex in September, where about ten shows and several companies are concentrated over two days, with food trucks, a bar, and entertainment, at Espace Perdtemps in case of bad weather.
Tôt ou T'Arts — edition 2026
The 25th edition of the Tôt ou T'Arts Festival takes place from April 26 to September 20, 2026, across 13 partner communes in Pays de Gex and Haut-Jura. Subtitled « 25 years of Awesomeness », the anniversary edition offers 16 dates, 20 French and international companies, and 27 free performances: street theatre, circus, puppets, music, magic, juggling. Festive finale in Gex on September 19 and 20.
A 25th « Awesomeness » Edition
In 2026, the Tôt ou T'Arts Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary. From April 26 to September 20, the itinerant tour of the Centre Socioculturel Les Libellules travels through 13 communes in Pays de Gex and Haut-Jura with 16 dates, 20 companies, and 27 free performances for all audiences.
French and International Companies
The 2026 lineup brings together companies from France and several countries: Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay. These include:

- Cie Tout Par Terre (16) — culinary juggling with Aux P'tits Rognons

Itinerant Tour from April to June
From late April to mid-June, the festival stages its shows, one to two per day, in the public squares of partner villages: Cessy, Gex, Ornex, Versonnex, Segny, Chézery-Forens, Ferney-Voltaire, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Crozet. Each date is preceded by entertainment and music before the show.
School Performances
From June 1 to 5, Cie Teatro Golondrino performs Les Péripéties de Jôjô Golendrini during the day in schools in Pays de Gex.
Finale in Léaz and Gex in September
After the summer break, the festival resumes on September 17 in Léaz (Fort l'Écluse) then concludes with an « Awesomeness » weekend on September 19 and 20 in Gex, featuring 9 shows, 8 companies, food trucks, and entertainment.

Practical information — Tôt ou T'Arts
Access and prices
Free shows, voluntary hat contribution possible. Free parking near the sites in each town. Locations accessible to people with reduced mobility, baby area provided (changing and breastfeeding).
Catering
Bar and light refreshments (crêpes, sandwiches, drinks) one hour before the shows. The final weekend in Gex offers food trucks and on-site catering. Credit card accepted. ATMs less than a 10-minute walk from the Gex site.
In case of bad weather
Indoor fallback solutions provided for dates from April to June. The Gex weekend (September) moves to Espace Perdtemps in case of bad weather.
