The Fête de la Madeleine: Mayenne's Grand Popular Festival

Every July, the town of Mayenne hosts its traditional Fête de la Madeleine, a major popular event that makes the Mayenne city vibrate for four days. Organized by the association Mayenne Foires et Salons, this fair is one of the most important events in the department, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year.

A Giant Funfair

The Fête de la Madeleine features an impressive funfair with over 80 stallholders offering rides, attractions, and games for all ages. From Friday to Monday, thrill-seekers and entertainment lovers will find plenty to enjoy in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

The Exhibitors' Fair and CIMA 53

Across 4 hectares, over 200 exhibitors present their products and services at the exhibition fair held from Friday to Sunday. The CIMA 53 (Inter-breed Competition of Agricultural Mayenne) is the agricultural component of the event, highlighting Mayenne's agriculture through:

• Livestock competitions and animal presentations
• Agricultural machinery demonstrations
• Local producer stands and tastings
• Conferences and activities on the agricultural world

A Gourmet Village

The gourmet village at the Fête de la Madeleine brings together caterers offering a variety of cuisine: Alsatian specialties, burgers, grills, mussels and fries, and other delicacies. It's the ideal place to eat before enjoying the evening's entertainment.

Free Concerts Every Evening

Each evening, the Fête de la Madeleine features free concerts that liven up the end of the day and the night:

• Friday evening: opening concert
• Saturday evening: headliner
• Sunday evening: closing concert
